At Valley Child Care & Learning Center, our developmentally appropriate curriculum is created alongside the Arizona Early Learning Standards, ensuring preschool students graduate well prepared for success in all future school years. Research continues to show that early literacy exposure is one of the best indicators for these successes. While literacy is an intricate part of our classroom experiences we realize that at home and as a family, getting your child to the library regularly can be a challenge. Our partnerships with Little Free Library’s book sharing movement makes that challenge significantly easier and we are happy to announce the opening of our own library – right here at Valley Child Care & Learning Center – Tempe!

Little Free library #90832 is offocially open and ready for visitors!

Little Free Library Tempe Preschool

What better way to welcome a library to our program than by reading together and welcoming each book? Our preschool friends enjoyed a community reading and then some quiet time while enjoying the beautiful weather. Our new library is conveniently located right along the walkway to enter our program!

After our time reading, it was time to fill the new Little Free Library – at Valley Child Care & Learning Center – Tempe! Each of our friends took a turn picking out a book to hug and welcome before placing it inside. Many pointed out books that they planned to take home to read that afternoon!

We are thrilled to see our Little Free Library continue to grow and inspire readers within our communities. This library is open to all ages, including students, friends, moms, dads, neighbors, teachers and caregivers. Inside the library you’ll find books available in both English and Spanish! Be sure to stop by and let us know what you think – don’t forget to tag your reading adventures with #littlefreelibraryatvcclc!

About Valley Child Care & Learning Center…

Established in 1967, Valley Child Care and Learning Center has continuously led the childcare, daycare, and preschool industry in Phoenix, Arizona. Our founder and Grandfather, Paul Emch, began with a simple mission to “provide tender loving care and education to each child.” Paul’s legacy lives on as we continue to uphold his original values and have grown to a well-established name in the Phoenix community. Today, we provide care for nearly 1,900 infants, toddlers, and preschool age children at a total of nine programs. Our convenient locations include North Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Glendale, Anthem, Surprise, El Mirage, Chandler, South Phoenix, and Tempe! At each of our program locations, you will find qualified staff eager to join us in ensuring children are receiving the highest quality care alongside a complete preschool experience. Upon graduation from our program, your child will be equipped to succeed in Kindergarten, and beyond!
