Our Family

Valley Child Care and Learning Center was established in 1968 as a provider of high-quality Phoenix child care services. For more than four decades, we’ve been a leader in the Phoenix day care services and preschool community.

We started as All Seasons Child Care, offering safe, enriching and affordable child education and development services. In 1992, we changed our name to Valley Child Care and Learning Center because of the great demand that existed valleywide for infant day care, toddler care and preschool programs.  Our company has evolved into not only a high quality child care provider, but also an early childhood learning center that will enhance the educational development of your child. Today, Valley Child Care and Learning Centers has established more than 48 childcare centers across the country.

Much of our success is the result of the values and beliefs of the founder of Valley Child Care and Learning Center, Paul J. Emch. His grandchildren, James Emch and Mike Emch, now have the oversight of the daily operations of Valley Learning Centers and are committed to keeping the values of high quality and sound business practices at the center of our child care services operation.

Paul's first mission statement was to "provide tender loving care and education, too" for each child.  Not much has changed over the years. We as a family all share the goal of making sure that your child knows that he or she is someone special, and of educating and preparing him or her for the challenges of life.  Paul expected every employee to be an ambassador of company principles – demonstrating love, integrity, generosity, self-discipline and hard work, and simply treating others as we would want to be treated.  The current management team has molded these values into their strategic plans and operating practices. These values are the reason that Valley Child Care and Learning Centers has grown to nearly 400 employees who care for nearly 1,800 children each day. 

Paul is no longer with us, but his commitment to quality, education and safety have been passed down to the fourth generation of the Emch family who now oversee our operations.

What We Believe
We believe that every child is a precious, God-given being with basic needs – social, physical, emotional and intellectual.  We will work to instill proper manners and values, honesty and sharing and respect and self-worth in your child. It is our purpose to meet those needs when your child is in our care by providing a safe and loving environment.
